There’s a magical island in need of a rescue, a collection of colourful worlds to explore and a rather nasty spell to put right.
Starlit World has arrived on Xbox Series X|S as a free-to-play 3D platforming adventure from Rockhead Studios, inviting players to join Bo and Kikki as they attempt to save the Starlits from Oli’s evil magic.
And while the initial download won’t cost a penny, there are plenty of optional extras available for anyone looking to boost their collection of in-game tokens.
At A Glance
- Game: Starlit World
- Developer: Rockhead Studios

Bo And Kikki Have A World To Save
Starlit World is built around a familiar platforming adventure, with players exploring magical environments, taking on bosses and discovering special suits along the way. There’s also a bigger job to tackle: rebuilding Starlit Island and completing a sticker album as you work through the adventure.
It sounds like a colourful, accessible outing, with enough collecting and exploration to give players reasons to keep wandering around. The special suits should add a little variety to proceedings, while the boss encounters provide some tougher moments amid the cuter chaos.
Free To Play, With Plenty Of Token Packs
Starlit World is free to download on Xbox Series X|S, although Rockhead Studios has a sizeable selection of optional token packs and bundles available through the Xbox Store.
The individual purchases range from a Handful of Tokens at £1.69 and a Pile of Tokens at £4.19, right up to a Chest of Tokens (12,500) for £41.74. There are also several larger combo options, with the Starter Combo, Golden Combo, Epic Combo and Special Combo offering alternative ways to spend.

Another Starlit Adventure
Rockhead Studios has visited the Starlit universe before, and we’ve spent time with a couple of its previous games. Our Starlit Adventures review found an enjoyable adventure, although the amount of grinding required to unlock suits and the financial model proved less appealing.
We were also less convinced by Starlit Kart Racing, awarding it 2.5/5. While its free-to-play approach and four-player local racing had some appeal, we felt it was too flawed and penny-pinching to recommend more widely.
Starlit World gives the series another opportunity to win us over, this time with a 3D platforming adventure, magical worlds and a new rescue mission. With no upfront cost on Xbox Series X|S, downloadable for free from the Xbox Store, Bo and Kikki’s latest outing is at least easy enough to try for yourself.
