10 months ago, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 2 reached its end, and this abrupt conclusion came due to the artist taking a leave due to military enlistment. While we were unsure whether the series would return in 2026 or not, we finally have official confirmation unveiling details about Solo Leveling Ragnarok's comeback.

On October 30, 2026, it was officially announced by Kakao Entertainment that Solo Leveling Ragnarok Season 3 is set to return on November 5, 2026. This new season of this series will officially begin with a brand-new artist at the helm, giving us three new chapters, spanning chapters 69 to 71. New, exciting content is coming soon with the involvement of a brand-new artist, Sanjimseung, to illustrate the journey of Sung Suho once again.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Season 3 Officially Begins On November 5

In 2026, Solo Leveling has had a rather uneventful year. The anime for the franchise ended its run in 2025 with the conclusion of Season 2, and while we do have a new confirmation for an upcoming movie, titled “Solo Leveling: Beyond the System,” we also know that it isn't releasing until next year, in 2027. The uneventful year was only made worse when, at the very start of it, on January 7, the manhwa for the sequel, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, went on an indefinite hiatus with the conclusion of its second season and the end of Chapter 68. This hiatus came out of nowhere, but the reason was revealed via a comment from the artist, Jin. The artist confirmed his own retirement from the project, stating that he had to enlist in the military, and with the conscription lasting 2 years, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok would either have to wait for him to return or switch to a new artist. As we now know, the franchise has, of course, chosen to move on with a new artist.

The artist behind Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 3 is none other than Sanjimseung, one of Dubu's own apprentices, who had previously worked on other manhwas like Ice Lord. With the reveal of the new artist, we also finally know that Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is returning this very year with Season 3. This announcement was first made on October 28, 2026, with the reveal of the new cover for Solo Leveling Ragnarok’s upcoming season. Earlier today, on October 30, 2026, we received an official release date for the third season.

We had theorized previously that, with the cover revealed, the Manhwa itself would return in the next week or two, and this has now been confirmed. Via Kakao Entertainment, the release date for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 3 is officially set for November 5, 2026. This is an exciting return after a 10-month-long wait, and it is going to be interesting to see how the project pans out with the new artist. It might feel like a significant change at first, but fans will quickly get used to it. Sanjimseung is quite a talented artist, taught by the legendary DUBU, who is responsible for the art in the original Solo Leveling Manhwa.

Solo Leveling To Release 3 New Chapters Before Switching To Weekly Releases

With Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 3's return now having been confirmed in just a few days, we will finally be able to enjoy the series after a very long break. To that end, we received more information via a new update by Kakao Entertainment, the official publisher of Solo Leveling. We now know that, as of October 30, 2026, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is not returning with just one chapter. Instead, the series is looking to make a comeback with three new releases, scheduled to drop all at once on November 5, 2026. With Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 2 having ended on chapter 68, the next three releases to come are going to be chapters 69, 70, and 71.

This might seem like a lot of content, but technically, this is one of the more underwhelming returns of Solo Leveling. Previously, the original Solo Leveling manhwa once returned with 19 chapters at once, and even Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is used to returning with more releases at once. It's unclear why Season 3's return is on the lower end. It is possible that Sanjimseung has only started the manhwa recently due to various unknown delays.

Furthermore, another detail to keep in mind is that while we do know Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 3 is debuting on November 5, this is exclusively for the Korean version, which is published on the Korean platform Kakao Entertainment. At the moment, we have no information on when US fans will be able to read the English version. This is especially more complicated now with the reveal of the Tapas Shutdown, a company under Kakao Entertainment. Tapas was the main platform fans relied on for Solo Leveling, but its closure on March 31, 2027, makes things complicated.

As things stand, unlocking new episodes will be a lot more difficult on Tapas, as Ink is unavailable for purchase since October 1. We will have to see how Kakao Entertainment handles the release for international fans. The English release will, at the very least, take a couple more weeks to come out compared to the original Korean version.

Coming over to the South Korean release specifically, we also know that after the first 3 chapters are out, the series is likely to switch to a weekly release schedule. Sanjimseung is likely to deliver consistent weekly releases until the end of Season 3. At the moment, we have no idea how many chapters to expect of Solo Leveling Ragnarok Season 3. The first season had 47 chapters, while the second ended with 21. Looking at previous installments, it is hard to predict the number of chapters for Season 3.

What To Expect From Solo Leveling Ragnarok Moving Forward

Solo Leveling Ragnarok’s return was long anticipated by fans all over the world. In the final chapters of Season 2, previously illustrated by Jin, we saw Suho, Gray, and Esil take on the new successors of the Monarchs, those being Arsha, Granga, and Pia. This battle is not yet over, and in the next couple of chapters, we will see new artist Sanjimseung wrap up the arc and move on to more exciting sections of the novel.

From here onwards, we are likely to focus more on the Itarim, the main antagonist of the Solo Leveling Ragnarok story, with godly powers that surpass all else. Daul’s novel ended on chapter 375, and based on where Season 2 wrapped up, there are around 255 more chapters of the novel left to bring to life. In other words, Sanjimseung has a few years of work ahead of them.
