Skydance, the merged company following acquisition of Warner Bros by Paramout, has announced a Voluntary Buyout Program for its employees, offering to compensate and guide employees with financial and career assistance on their way out - but only if they take this “one-time offer.”

Skydance’s new employee buyout program was sent out in an email to employees, as obtained by Variety. The section explaining the Voluntary Buyout Program is as follows:

Skydance is offering voluntary buyouts to staff, per an email from David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz. https://t.co/bsXP7gMGM2

Paramount closed its merger with Warner Bros in the first week of October. Since then, there have been warnings that layoffs could follow. Adding further red flags to the situation is that Bobby Kotick, the controversial former CEO of Activision Blizzard, joined the board of directors.

Rumors suggest that Paramount is offering this program ahead of forced cuts as Paramount and Warner Bros. teams merge. As we watch for more updates, stay tuned to the Skydance topic for news and coverage.
