Modern Warfare 4 players are already calling for one trait to be removed from DMZ mode, as they say it's causing chaos in gunfights.
On October 20, DMZ early access officially went live for players who had pre-ordered the game, allowing them to jump into the revamped extraction mode ahead of time. The early reception has been mostly positive, with the Hajin map and FOB hub earning plenty of praise.
However, there have been a handful of issues raised by players who have got their hands on the mode, and one of the most-talked-about is the Possum trait.
DMZ players think Possum trait is too OP
This unlockable ability is the final trait in the Warfighter skill tree, allowing anyone who uses it to Self-Revive once per game. Self-Revive is nothing new in Call of Duty, but this version can be triggered after you've been fully killed, not just knocked.
Once activated, your Operator returns to Last Stand with full health, giving you a second chance to survive and exfil. While it was likely added to make matches more forgiving, it's already proving controversial.
"Not so sure about the Self Revive from death in DMZ," wrote JGOD on X.
"Possum needs to be reworked or completely removed from DMZ. Disagree if you want, that s**t is broken," agreed ModernWarzone.

Over on Reddit, players had similar complaints, with one post detailing a fight that they claim shows why Possum is too powerful right now.
"I downed and full killed two players and sat on a roof waiting for the third to come across the street and get the res," the OP said. "20 secs later I hear footsteps below, jump down and both of them were up and smoked me."
"I also had possum, so sat there for 5 mins while they looted because I imagined there was some really obvious way to tell but no, once they were gone I just got up and self res'd and exfilled."
Using Possum also doesn't trigger any sound, so it's easy to get back up without the enemies noticing. "It should either take a lot longer or make a really obvious noise when attempting," the OP added.
DMZ has only just gone live and the devs have already released a number of fixes. So, it remains to be seen if Possum gets removed or reworked in a future update.
